What a Night!

On September 14, 2019, Mercy For Animals held its 20th Anniversary Gala at the landmark Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles. The evening featured a powerful program, delicious plant-based food, and a lively after-party under the stars. In the end, our supporters generously gave over $2 million to support Mercy For Animals’ vital work.

Venue Information

Designed in the 1920s in the Moorish Revival style by San Francisco-based theater architect G. Albert Landsburgh, the Shrine Auditorium is one of the premier landmark entertainment venues in Los Angeles. Many notable events have been held at the auditorium, including the Academy Awards, the Grammys, the BET Awards, the Emmys, the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Top musicians have performed at the Shrine, from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and Ray Charles to Peter Gabriel and Jack White. The Shrine was designated a Los Angeles historic cultural monument in 1975.
